About Me

My name is Matthew Enci Wang, and I am currently a 4th year mechanical engineering student at UCLA. I have a passion for challenging myself by tackling complex problems and learning from them. This manifests itself daily as I work on building robots, cars, drones, and more with my peers as a project lead in multiple engineering clubs. These include the American Society of Engineers (ASME) and Bruin Racing.

Outside of engineering and academia, I enjoy playing basketball and volleyball recreationally. At UCLA, I am the Varsity captain of the Dota 2 eSports team, where we compete on a national collegiate level. When I have some free time, I enjoy touching up on my piano skills and learning new songs.

I grew up in New York and moved to California in the Summer of 2013. While I’ve gotten accustomed to the blue skies and warm weather, one thing I haven’t forgotten is the enjoyment I find from supporting my favorite sports team - the New York Knicks!
